Highs and Lows

Seems the Winter weather is not done with us yet. We are doing the one step forward and two back portion right now. In the last couple of posts I tried to temper Spring Fever and then had the pleasure of saying we opened. It appears to have been a soft opening. 2 days of walking only, then a greens rolling with 2 days of fully open before the next snow/rain/ice storm shut us down again. What can we do but be patient and hope for better weather? I don't believe we built much frost in the ground in this cold spell so we should open quicker this time around.

It must be Spring. At least the Canadian geese seem to think so. They have been coming around for the last couple of weeks. We purchased a laser pointer to help to deter their hanging around and making a mess of the place. Did you know migration is not instinctual or inherited? It is a learned behavior so once a bird becomes a non-migratory resident (most of our Canadian geese) all of it's young are then non-migratory.
