Time Flies

What can I say? It's been a couple of months since the last post. We have been busy. Feels like that is the last time it rained as well. We had a bunch of equipment issues which was a challenge. We had some major pipes leaking so they were replaced. That was fun and a lot of hand digging due to the locations. The irrigation continues to be a challenge due to the drought but it is hanging in there considering its age. I am chasing a ghost on the 4th satellite where it starts itself over again every morning. I was hoping bringing Harry out there might scare the poltergeist away. No luck. Overall I am pleased with how the turf is performing in a very difficult year. The saddest part is seeing all of the cart path edges we worked hard to get grass on wear out. Many of these areas do not have adequate irrigation coverage and once the grass goes dormant it is easily killed if driven over. Once again PLEASE KEEP CARTS ON PATHS. We cannot do anything about the weather or the irrigation coverage but if you drive where you are supposed to these areas will come back when it rains again. The condition of the turf is really in your hands. If you liked seeing grass in these areas stop driving through them. We are reluctant to put back all the stakes, ropes and signs but have been forced to in certain areas. Enjoy a few pictures over the last couple of months.
