Spring has sprung

It is hard to believe it has been a month already since my last post. A lot has happened in that month. Least of which is a global pandemic and a shock to our way of life. I will leave that for now and stick to what happened on the course. We tackled a bit more tree work. Mostly we concentrated on downed
trees from storm damage past and present. The left of 4 has several as well as the path to the 13th tees. We also spent some time in the triangle behind 2 green to the right of 3 tee and the right of 11. This work will neaten the appearance of the course and possibly speed up play if easier to find a lost ball. We also pulled some old stumps on the right of 18.

Looking at these pictures of trash can cleaning made me think it is interesting that Bob and I both went down with colds shortly after this. Coincidence? He is back today and I should be back at the end of the week. The picture below is the most exciting. First mowing. That is a true sign of Spring. We have been rolling greens all winter which kept the greens smooth and playing well but mowing off that winter fuzz really gets everyone excited. Us included. Well getting sick and dealing with the pandemic has put a bit of  a damper on Spring Fever but this too shall pass. We are living in uncertain and unprecedented times but know that we are doing all we can to keep you safe while enjoying the course. Bear with us as we experiment with ways to keep the course playable while minimizing contamination hazards. We are still two weeks away from even being able to enter scores so simply enjoy getting out and breathing the fresh air.
